LOCATION

TIME

The grandeur of yesterday and the splendour of tomorrow.

Places steeped in history such as the Basilica of Sant’Eustorgio, the Diocesan Museum and the Navigli are just a short walk from Via Conca del Naviglio. Shops and historic artisan workshops alternate with cafés and restaurants, from the Colonne di San Lorenzo to the Darsena. Already an integral part of Milan’s city centre, the De Amicis / Conca del Naviglio district is now even better connected to the rest of the city and to Linate Airport thanks to the new M4 metro line.
All the convenience of town-centre services and facilities meet the peaceful seclusion of side streets and majestic surrounds: the Parco Amphitheatrum Naturae will flourish and bloom where the long-forgotten Roman amphitheatre once stood, right in front of the Vista development.
Milan’s past is all-pervading, present at every corner, like the nearby Conca di Viarenna (the Viarenna Basin). Once upon a time its waters served to ferry the marble slabs to the construction site of Milan Cathedral. Its pedigree is still evident today from the small aedicule which bears an original carved image of the church façade on the top.
Strolling through these streets is like taking a voyage back in time without leaving the present day: you pass from the gleaming glass panes of fabled shops and cafés to the Romanesque grandeur of the Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio. These places are characterised by an ever-changing medley of architectural styles, colours and historic influences.
